This is a one day course to acquire the EPA’s lead safety certification. As of April 22, 2010, federal law requires contractors that perform renovation, repairs and painting jobs on homes or child occupied facilities built before 1978 must be certified and use lead-safe work practices. Contractors are now expected to be experts on these topics to continue doing their jobs. To comply, contractors must now certify and must follow specific work practices to prevent lead contamination. This rule will apply regardless of who owns the facility or who is paying for the work. Failure to follow the practices could result in hefty fines up to $32,500 per violation. We are ready to train and certify you and/or your staff in accordance with the EPA Renovation, Repair and Painting Final Rule
